Our 50 FWT Wide wheelset features a rim manufactured by filament wound technologies ensuring the the upmost quality in rim manufacturing.
A true wide tyre aero rim. The wide rim's leading edge and 25mm internal hooked rim width allows for the use of a 34/35mmm tyres while still maintaining a tyre width slightly narrower than the rim. This allows for a smoother flow of air over the actual rim. This smoother airflow coupled with the lower roling resistance of a larger tyre make these a comfortable and fast wheelset.
Not just limited to road use, these rims are wide and strong enough to be used as a gravel rim,

Hub:
- Choice of hubs. For 90kg + riders we suggest a flanged hub like the STOX SLCL hub by Aivee in France. This will increase the lateral stiffness of the wheel by increasing the bracing angles of the spokes.
Spokes:
- Carbon spokes with taper lock interface between the carbon and the alloy nipple.
The build:
Hand built in NSW to 0.1mm trueness (runout) both laterally and radially. Uniform spoke tensions. To ensure this is takes time skill and is what sets our wheels apart Max rider weight 1200kg with bike 3yr Warranty on manufacturing defects. Crash replacement at 50% rrp
